About
Hi there!
Back in the US, I started writing french fry in burgerland to share my Midwesterner experiences and thought to keep on writing about the adventures now that I live in Paris.
Welcome to french fry in burgerland, now living in Paris.
As a start, I thought I’d post this portrait from mon ami photographiste Julien Lavigne Taken at Brasserie Paul Bert in les Puces de St Ouen. It was a special day because it was my first time roaming through les Puces and my first time ‘Chez Sarah’, THE land of promise for mode ancienne. I was in great company, I had just turned 30 and became a godmother.
Now, let’s get into the serious stuffs…
Official job: Account Planner at a global advertising agency
Skills: Creating joy around me. Connecting. Making up fantastic April’s fool jokes.
Flaws: Happy Hours as often as possible. Believing in fairy tales. Speaking english like a duck.
Nickmane: Papifolle, French toast, French Fry, Inspecteur Colombo, Boulet (from my beloved brother)
News: Turned 30. New to Paris. Originally from the South of France. Previously in Chicago and Bangalore (7 years total)
Favorite sport: walking up to the 7th floor to access my appartment (no elevator). Now living on the 2nd floor, hurray!
Favorite past time: speaking french with an english accent so Parisians are nice to me when I ask for directions (it works), stopping by Chez Sarah at Les Puces de Clignancourt Paris to explore the best ‘mode ancienne and retro’ on this planet, following my best friend photographiste Julien Lavigne to exciting exhibitions, organizing private Japanese Food party with Chef Masami. Spending time in the South of France where I come from, in Béziers, Montpellier, Avignon and Les Corbières.
Missing: BYOB, Michigan lake, Caribou coffee, Chicago friends, Frank’s night dinner, big dogs.
